I already own an iphone but I want to use different network sim cards in it, can this be done? I have all the iPhones and if u have a iPhone 3G u really don’t need to get a 3GS but if u have the 2g I would recomend to upgrade.

buy the ipod though because the iphone 3g does not have video and the ipod is slimmer and is slightly better and does not interrupt while gaming

Yes, it is. That’s because the horsepower hasn’t been upgraded since 2007.
Also, DO NOT trade in a 4th gen iPod Touch for a 3G. Firstly, you can’t. You cannot trade them. Also, they don’t sell iPhone 3G’s any more. Finally, the savings would be miniscule. Even if you can get one, you’d still have to pay for data. Wouldn’t you want that data to be usable on a modern phone?
